Such Tea

Description

Very Elegance. Wow.

Orange Blossom ain't really a lady.  Oh sure, she can dress up all pretty, like; she can pin her flowers on and act all dainty like all them hoity toity ladies. But she don't do subtlety. She ain't got time for blending in. She's all about the pleasure. Silky and sweet.

Blossom here is the product of about a week and a half's fevered attempt to get something finished in time for a deadline on a project I came in on at the last minute. I wanted to push myself and my own boundaries and limitations (speed, self-satisfaction, colour) to see if I could do it in time.

The project was about creating personified variations of tea for a book called the Tea Box. My favourite tea is Lady Grey, but seeing as I'd come in so late that was already taken, so I chose Lady Grey's vulgar little cousin, Orange Blossom tea. She still fit for the image I had in my head of a Victorian(ish) lady, but since I'd been reading Michel Faber's The Crimson Petal and the White, I'd become somewhat enamoured of the main character, a stylish young prostitute called Sugar, who attempted to look like the more well-to-do women of London but lacked the manners and upbringing to really, truly blend in. So Blossom is a tribute of sorts to Sugar - much like Lady Grey, she's got the looks, but lacks the lifestyle. C'est la vie!

First up love the cup stain on the image , which doubles as a tea rainbow and spoeaking of rainbows the whole color scheme had me thinking that you slipped in a subtle coloring rainbow(the blues to greens on the couch against the reds , oranges and yellows of her outfit ) loving the posing and all the detail work .

my only real complaint and it's a quibble really is that the chair has a right leg but seems to be missing the left as well as the bottom part of the couch that should be peeking out betwixt her legs , I know it was likely a stylistic choice but it's one of those things were once my brain notes it I can't unsee it and thus I keep staring at it , like I said more a quibble then anything else <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

ps
adore the worn and weary look about her eyes and cheeks that you might not even notice because her eyes are so bright and full of life

pps
your coloring is rather reminding me of brian frouds crushed fairy book for some reason
